◆ A sonic identity built from a city's own machines
This Machine
A song made entirely from sewing-machine sounds - the garment industry of a hometown, rendered as music.
The Brief
The city was built, in part, on the garment trade. This Machine takes the literal sound of that industry - the needles, the motors, the pedals of the sewing floor - and asks whether a place's machinery can become its signature. It is the clearest proof of a discipline most brands pay agencies six figures for: turning what a company actually makes into how it sounds.
The Approach
Field-recorded the machines themselves, then treated each mechanical sound as an instrument - pitched, sequenced, and arranged until the factory floor became a rhythm section. Nothing synthetic stands in for the source; the identity is the object.
The Outcome
A place-based sonic identity that doubles as a template for brand work: the sound of a product, composed into the sound of the brand behind it.
