Rising Action
A love letter to East Lake - neighbors' voices set to original score.
The Brief
Commissioned to score an installation about a neighborhood going through change. Summer Dregs interviewed neighbors and built music around their voices.
The Approach
Treated each interview as a musical phrase. Built harmonic beds underneath dialect and cadence. The composition serves the speaker - never the other way around.
The Outcome
Installed by visual artist Adam Frelin. Toured to multiple regional galleries.
