Whiplash is a song cycle commissioned by San Diego based dance company Ballet Counterpointe! The piece details the struggle to stay afloat amidst storms both personal and societal. It is about a diving inward and struggling under the waves of raw emotion … and learning to ride those waves. The piece includes samples from songs I’ve produced from Mon Rovia, BROCRISP , Lookout, and the music of Paula Dreyer.
